For the premier exhibition and to celebrate the opening of the new galleries for Kettle’s Yard, Cambridge, ACTIONS was a group exhibition to reassert the potential of art as a poetic, social and political force in the world.
Including works from artists across generations and from around the world, Kettle’s Yard commissioned Emma Smith to create a new digital work and performance for the exhibition. Expanding on previous work for the gallery, Smith created an online apothecary through which the public are prescribed and gifted restorative performance instructions. This was accessible to visitors both within the galleries on dedicated i-pads as well as online through the comfort of their own homes.
